Beulah Maxwell Obituary

Maxwell, Beulah "Nookie"

Beulah Mae Perryman Maxwell was born December 8,1944 in Madison Georgia to the late Susie Perryman Thompson and Fred Mapp. Beulah, affectionately known as "Nookie" was raised by her grandmother Annie Perryman in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended school in Boston and later worked for several area companies including Boston City Hospital, Polaroid, Gillette and Durants' Candy. She married Willie Morris Maxwell who preceded her in death. Beulah relocated to the Crafton area of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania at the age of 35 to take care of her mother. She became an active well-known member of the community. She was always very giving and supportive to her neighbors. When Beulah's health drastically started to decline, she became a resident of Highland Park Care Center. Her loving, yet spirited personality made her well known to all the staff. She was called the Highland Park "Queen" because she
kept everyone in line. Beulah agreed to Hospice Care on July 1, 2022. The staff was crying, but she told them to stop crying, "I'm going to see Jesus."
Beulah Mae Maxwell was preceded in death by her mother Susie Perryman Thompson, her father Arthur Mapp, her grandmother Annie Perryman and her
brother Lawrence Perryman. She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers Arthur Mapp, Michael Thompson and Dwayne Thompson of Georgia; extended family members Eddie Givner, Howard Henderson and Wanda Henderson of Pittsburgh; and a host of other family and friends. On July 10,2022 Beulah went to see Jesus.
