Glaser, Dr. Alan A.
Peacefully, with his family by his side, on December 30, 2017, Dr. Alan Arthur Glaser, age 84. Beloved son of the late Arthur and Alice Glaser. Loving brother of Joyce (Mike) Domyancic and the late Dr. Roger B. Glaser; brother-in-law of Joan Glaser; uncle of Renee St. Esprit, Lisa Kline, Dr. Denise Felluca, Matt Domyancic, Dana Cruz, Kim Clark, Roger Glaser, Jr. and Tammy Burress; also numerous grand nieces that he dearly loved and cousins Marylee Burkhardt, Joanne Larosa, Bill Glaser and the late Jim Glaser. Alan earned a Doctorate degree from Carnegie Tech in Mechanical Engineering, where he played varsity tennis. He was named Man of the Year at Carnegie Tech for his professional accomplishments. Alan retired from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a Mechanical Engineering Professor who was involved in research and teaching. He was also a PE who did consulting throughout the United States. Alan donated his body for research at the University of Pittsburgh. The mass intention for the April 1, 2018 Easter Sunday noon mass at St. Paul Cathedral will be for Dr. Glaser. Arrangements entrusted to Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home, Crafton.
