Suddenly on Sunday, August 5, 2018, Edward J., age 87, of Westwood. Beloved husband for almost 66 years of Marguerite M. "Peg" Cleis. Loving father of Edward J. (Annette Jenkins) Cleis, Jr., Dorothy J. Cleis, Thomas G. (Barbara) Cleis, Frederick G. Cleis, and Ruth E. (Ronald) Myers; much loved "Pappy" of 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; dear brother of Al Cleis. Ed was an Air Force veteran and served during the Korean War and was a member of the Korean War Vets. Friends received at the Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Wednesday, 6-8 p. m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 p. m. Funeral service will be in the Church of the Atonement, 618 Washington Ave., Carnegie, PA 15106 on Friday at 10:30 a.m. If desired, memorials may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St., Pgh., PA 15243.
