On Friday, September 8, 2023, H. Roy, age 89, of Crafton.  Beloved husband for 69 years of Kathleen "Kay" J. Hermes. Loving father of Cindi (Drew) Seka, Larry (Ellen) Hermes, Debbie (Dave Hughes) Vaccarello and Shari (Paul) Lilja. Dear grandfather of Brian Seka, Jamie (Bob) Waters, Casie (Craig) Zamiara, Michael (Megan) Hermes, Stephen (Hannah Reitz) Hermes, John (Cass Vaglienti) Vaccarello and Tyler Lilja.  Loving great-grandfather of Camden, Eliana, Caden and Beckett. Brother of Susanne O'Dell, Warren Hermes and the late Sally Hermes. Friends received at the Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Monday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM where the funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM. Crafton VFD service will be held Monday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Roy was a Life Member of the Crafton Volunteer Fire Department where he was a proud member for 70 years and served as Fire Chief for over 30 years. Roy was a retired Lieutenant with the Allegheny County Fire Department and worked at the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport and the Allegheny County Airport.
