James Anthony
James (Jim) Anthony Armocida (Born July 9, 1956 Died September 23, 2023). Jim was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Eugene and Madeleine (nee Lussier) Armocida. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Madeleine with whom he shared a deep bond. Jim was a devoted son to his parents visiting them frequently, calling them daily, and traveling with them. Jim was married to his beloved wife, Rosemarie Armocida for nearly 30 years. Jim wrote lovely poems to Rose regularly, especially on her birthday. Jim leaves his brothers William Armocida, Paul Armocida, and John Armocida, and sister Mary Aronson, Rosemarie’s sons Roy Burger and Frank Burger, and his best friend John Hredzak. Jim was kind-hearted and spent much of his time in service to family, friends, and others volunteering for Meals on Wheels, the library, as an Election Day assistant, helping fellow residents in his building, and many more acts of kindness. Jim was a hard and responsible employee wherever he worked. Jim was an avid postcard collector, loved jigsaw puzzles, ping pong (a rated player attending many tournaments), mini-golf, tennis, and pizza. Jim will be remembered as a loving soul who cared deeply about his family and helping others. Friends will be received at the Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 170 Noble Ave., Crafton on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 2:00 PM until the time of a Blessing Service at the funeral home on Friday at 3:30 PM.
