Miley
James E. "Red"
At his home, with his family by his side, on Monday, April 27, 2026, James E. "Red" Miley, age 90, of Robinson Twp., peacefully passed away. Beloved husband for over 70 years of Patricia M. Miley; loving father of Cindy (Kevin) Foss and the late Scott Miley; dear grandfather of Jesse (Heather) Burroughs, Amanda Kingcade, Lisa (Ronnie) Beach; also 8 great-grandchildren; brother of the late William E. (surviving wife Bertha "Sis") Miley; dear uncle of Ben, Jerry, Ty and the late Matt and Red Miley and Marilyn (Joe) Zuccarelli and Karen (Michael) Saltzburg.
My dad was a hard working man from his teenage years to the end. He quit school in the 8th grade to work in the steel mills, he worked building new homes until he fell off a roof and fractured his back. To be able to get different work, he had to go back to school and get a GED. Then he got a job working for PATransit. He drove all sorts of public transportation routes and bus. He even drove the large accordion buses. He work at PPMS after he retired, doing odd jobs at the track. Loved his racing! He could do anything he put his mind to. Always told us, doesn't matter if you're digging ditches or you're a Dr. If you like your job, you'll never work a day in your life. He also, said to always pay yourself 1st - 10% off the top. Put it in the bank or invest it, but don't touch it until you're older. Wiser words were never said! Dad would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it more than he did! He loved mom, and everything he did was to ensure she was taken care of! Don't see to many 70 + years of marriage these days! He loved us all, cousins, in-laws, outlaws, friends, neighbors. Love you dad, kudos for all you have accomplished in your 90 years on this earth! Love ya Cindy
