PUSKAR, John Andrew
John Andrew Puskar, 79, of Ingram, died February 28, 2018. Born on August 24, 1938, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late John and Viera (Kozak) Puskar. He grew up in Green Tree, PA, and served in the US Army from 1961-1963. John received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Belmont Abbey College in 1960 and continued to study English at Duquesne University Graduate School. John worked for H.K. Porter Co. in many roles over his 30-year tenure, lastly as a systems analyst/programmer.John was the loving brother of Michael Puskar (deceased) and his wife, Marilyn; Mary Faith Puskar (deceased); and Louise Rolf and her husband, Roger, of Plantation, Florida. He was a devoted uncle to his nine nieces and nephews and 12 grand-nieces and grand-nephews with one on the way. John was a brilliant and gentle man who loved horses, film, coin collecting, stamps, bird-watching, gardening, literature, wine and travel. He will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of John’s life at the Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Sunday 12 Noon until time of the Blessing service Sunday at 2 pm. Interment will be in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
