Ide, Monica
On Saturday, November 21, 2020, Monica (Lesondak) Ide, age 63, of Crafton, died with her husband and son at her side. Beloved wife of Randy Ide for 40 years and loving mother of Kenneth (Jennifer) Ide and Christina L. Ide. She is daughter of Elva (Rev. Dr. James) Martin. Monica was born in Sewickley and graduated from Quaker Valley High School. She is also a graduate of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with Bachelors degree in Special Education. She has taught in Western New York State and throughout the Pittsburgh area. She was a member of the ICTUS Community Choir. She was also a member of Unity Presbyterian Church where she was an active Deacon, sang in the Chancel Choir, and served on several committees. Outside of church and teaching, she was the proud operator and "Fudge Lady" of A1 Fudge/Cookies ‘n Critters where she sold her fudge and chocolates at local farmers markets and craft shows. She also supported and volunteered with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11am at Unity Presbyterian Church in Green Tree. Service will also be live streamed on Unity's Facebook page.
