On Friday, June 2, 2023, Sophie C., age 95, of Westwood was carried on angel's wings to Heaven.  She was formerly of McKees Rocks and Sheraden. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph, brothers John, Felix and Eddie Alachnowicz and sisters Regina Phillips and Jennie Delie.  She is survived by her children Kenneth (Karen) Popek, Lorraine (Chris) Macioce, Jeff (Diane) Popek and Nadine Popek. Dear grandmother to Leanne, Justin, Cody and Tanner and  great-grandmother of Cameron and Isabella. Also Gayle Cavanaugh who she loved like a daughter.  A special thanks to all at the Seton Center of Brookline. Friends received at the Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 8 at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church, 200 Grace St., Stowe Township (McKees Rocks, PA 15136). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Holy Trinity PNC Church.
