Cornell, Thomas J. "T.J."
On Monday, February 8, 2021, Thomas J. "T.J." Cornell, beloved brother, son and uncle, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at home in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 64. TJ was born in Pittsburgh on August 5, 1956 to Helen and Tom Cornell, and was the youngest of two children. He spent his life in the Crafton area, graduating from Langley High School in 1974. TJ was a hard worker, and at different points in his career he worked at Giant Eagle Supermarket, Batey Chevrolet, Dravo Barge and owned his own automotive speed shop. He had retired from his driver position at Nabisco. TJ was an automotive enthusiast and great mechanic; he owned and enjoyed numerous vehicles over the years including dirt bikes, muscle cars and various trucks - he was especially fond of Chevy. TJ was extremely quick witted and well read, and was a joy for his family and friends to talk with. TJ enjoyed and valued friendship, a good laugh and great conversation. He is sorely missed. TJ is survived by 2 nieces., an Aunt, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen; father, Tom, and sister Karen Cornell Bumbaugh. TJ's memorial service will be announced at a later date due to the current health crisis. Arrangements entrusted to HERSHBERGER-STOVER INC. FUNERAL HOME, Crafton.
